Dan Jatres (Vice President / Membership Coordinator) I’m primarily a recreational bicyclist, with some transportation cycling. I’ve been cycling since I was old enough to ride a bike, and have used my bike extensively since living in New Orleans. While an undergrad at Tulane, I worked on bicycle issues on campus and on select projects with the Regional Planning Commission. For the past two and a half years, I’ve been program manager of the Greater New Orleans Pedestrian & Bicycle Program.

Nicole S. McCall (Secretary) On most days Nicole rides from her home on the West Bank to the lakefront where she is studying Urban and Regional Planning. Since moving to New Orleans in 1997, Nicole has enjoyed the city’s historic charm and bikeable streets. Cycling has played a role in many aspects of her life, from commuting to work to riding to her wedding reception. Through the MBC, she hopes to influence others to consider using her favorite mode of transportation, increase the community’s awareness of cyclists, and ensure the renewal and restoration of New Orleans include bike infrastructure improvements.

James Lancaster "As a civil engineering graduate from Tulane, I have been drawn to systematic transportation solutions, and too often, cars exclude pedestrians and bicyclists in the design phase. When I bought my first home in 2007, I made sure I was in a dense area, not too far from where I would work or play so that I could walk and bicycle more often. Luckily, the subsequent job I took was only 2.5 miles from my home, and now I regularly ride my bicycle to work and anywhere else I can. It’s especially convenient at Mardi Gras, because there are no vehicle parking problems. I joined the Young Leadership Council Leadership Development Series in the summer of 2008, and our group’s project, Where Ya’ Rack, set out to find a way to install bicycle racks in targeted corridors before the City of New Orleans put in bike lanes, so that once lanes had been striped, there were already convenient parking facilities ready to be used by employees and patrons and leisure riders. I am also proof that just a little bit of exercise, can help with our communities’ waistlines. I’ve lost 30 pounds since I began riding my bike to work."

TimTim Eskew - A lifelong avid cyclist and professional bicycle mechanic for over 15 years, Tim is a native New Orleanian with a vested interest in improving bicycle infrastructure and access throughout the Greater New Orleans area.  He has his eyes and ears tuned to the needs of cyclists in this area and looks for innovative solutions to providing a safer and freer experience for all types of traffic.  He sees that streets need to be unclogged from the overuse of motor vehicles and returned to the multi-modal neighborhood networks of their origin.
